AMC The Twilight Saga Experience

Every now and then I like to step out of my comfort zone and try something new. I have been an avid movie goer for 50+ years but I have never been to a midnight movie. When AMC emailed me an invitation to attend their Twilight Saga Experience on June 29th, I thought why not? It would be a chance to see Twilight on the big screen again along with New Moon. I thought it would be a treat to see all three films together. I knew there would be hundreds of people there but I also knew that none of my friends or family would be interested. I decided to go alone.

I purchased an Edward Eclipse tee (yes, I am Team Edward) to wear. I paired it with jeans, Maryjane's, and my new crossover bag. I showed up early and went through the first line immediately. The AMC ticket taker did not tear my ticket, she told me to go and get in another line where they were handing out the AMC lanyards with the Twilight Saga Experience gift card. There were about twenty people in line in front of me but the line moved quickly. Then I was motioned to another line where the gift card was swiped. Finally, I was told to go to theatre 14 where we were already being allowed to enter to find our seats. I found a seat right away, on the first row behind the main aisle, where I like to sit.

Within an hour all the seats were filled. People of all ages were visibly excited and when Twilight started many movie goers screamed. This level of enthusiasm never wavered. It was a thrilling experience for me to share this time with fans who clearly love the Twilight Saga.

As for Eclipse? This is an exciting, action filled film that continues on with the eternal love story involving Bella and her Edward. It was very obvious with our crowd that they all want Bella and Edward to be together but that Jacob is "hotter"! There is a nice blend of humor here that was greatly missing in New Moon. I will be going back to see Eclipse this weekend and I will be taking my son. He has seen both Twilight and New Moon, so I figure he needs to know where this is all going...
